I would love to get or make my son a cool kimono or yukata.

Kyoto Kimono appears to have some nice ones, but they are not cheap.

Ichiroya.com has a bunch of reasonably priced children's kimono's but you have to watch the shipping charges cause they get quite large as you are shipping from Japan.

Of course, sewing one of high quality fabric would take quite some time and money as well. Perhaps we have people chip in and buy one for our sons and others kids to wear.

Can you imagine going to an anime con, with a three year old boy in such a kimono. Fan girl squeals galore. Though my son(Kenji) needs one for con going as his parents dress up as Kenshin and Kaouru.
